Our Bespoke Journey:
Creating The Barbados
Tartan
Working with the objective to create a beautiful tartan using only the national colours and the black broken trident emblem. James Robertson Kiltmaker designed a tartan only using the official blue, yellow and black colouring. Our client was fully engaged throughout the design and colouring process. Wool yarn has been specially dyed and laboratory tested to match the Barbados flag Pantone colours to ensure the right balance and blend of the blue and the black gave the tartan a very tradition but contemporary look.
Using our 29 years of experience we we have designed a tartan and product range that is true to the island's heritage but with a modern Caribbean twist. We are proud to register the Island of Barbados Tartan within the Scottish Register of Tartans with the approval from the Government of Barbados.
James Robertson Kiltmaker offer a wide range of products using the Island of Barbados Tartan.
